Donations: VINCORION Supports People in Difficult Situations

The technology company VINCORION is donating a total of $8,500 to charitable organizations in the vicinity of its sites, including the Fisher House Foundation in the United States, the Family Harbor in Hamburg, Germany, and the Pfaffenwinkel Hospice Association in Polling, Germany. VINCORION’s goal is to build long-term partnerships with institutions that are committed to helping families and young people.

“As a company, we have a special responsibility to the people who live in the vicinity of our sites,” says Dr. Stefan Stenzel, VINCORION’s managing director. “We therefore want to be a reliable partner for organizations that show great commitment to equal opportunities, provide help for young people and military families, and support them in difficult life situations.”

Support for the Families of Military Personnel and Veterans

In the US, VINCORION is once again supporting the Fisher House Foundation. The charity builds homes for the families of veterans and military personnel who need free housing during a family member’s extended hospital stay. There are 92 Fisher Houses in the US, the UK, and Germany. Since their inception, these Houses have served 430,000 families and offered 11.5 million lodging days.

The Fisher House in El Paso in located close to the William Beaumont Army Medical Center. “I am glad that VINCORION is socially involved at the El Paso site as well,” says Yvan Drewinsky, President of VINCORION LLC in El Paso. “The Fisher House Foundation makes important contributions to the families of soldiers. We want to do our bit as part of that community.”

Hospice Service for Families of Seriously Ill Children

The Familienhafen in Hamburg, which VINCORION also supports, is an outpatient children’s hospice service whose goal is to support the families of terminally ill children after their difficult diagnosis, to create space for them, and to accompany them on their journey. For this task, specially trained and qualified members assist the families in the home environment and in everyday life. “It is our daily incentive to provide loving support to children with life-shortening illnesses and their families, even in rough seas. Especially in turbulent and uncertain times like these, we rely on the support of committed people and partners like VINCORION,” explains Iris Nurkovic, who is responsible for public relations at the family port.

Pfaffenwinkel Hospice Association

The decision to support the hospice association financially was made by VINCORION employees themselves at the Altenstadt site in Bavaria, who voted in favor of supporting the association in an internal survey. Since 1992, the Hospizverein im Pfaffenwinkel e.V. has been accompanying people in the region until their last moment, while respecting human dignity and ensuring the greatest possible self-determination, quality of life, and relief from symptoms of illness. The hospice association does this regardless of age, religion, nationality, or ideology, emphasizes Deacon Stefan Röger, managing director of the hospice. VINCORION also supports the German Child Protection Association in Wedel and the Lions Club Wedel-Elbmarsch.
