If the last stretch of track before a destination is not electrified, companies either need to use their own diesel or shunting locomotives or expensive shunting services from other suppliers. VINCORION’s auxiliary power unit (APU) for electric locomotives is a much more cost-effective solution. The APU reliably provides traction power independent of an overhead line.
