Mechatronics manufacturer VINCORION will be officially opening the doors of its new site in El Paso, Texas, on October 21, 2021. The company had already moved from its previous location in El Paso to the new larger and more modern premises in spring 2021. VINCORION’s goal is to further expand its presence in the US market and its collaboration with local and domestic partners.

VINCORION has invested over two million US dollars in the new 35,000-square-feet site. The heart of the new facility is the assembly of German manufactured Electrical Power Plant (EPP) for the Patriot Missile program as well other key components for this project, like spare parts and repairs. VINCORION intends to grow the team at the site, over the coming months, by hiring additional engineers to drive the development of new strategic future projects, such as the company’s mobile hybrid power systems (MoHPS).

Further Expansion of Strategic Partnerships

“The US is already the most important foreign market for us in the defense sector. At the same time, we see tremendous potential to strategically expand our existing partnerships, both in the MRO and spare parts business as well as with a view to developing mobile power solutions,” explained Dr. Stefan Stenzel, Managing Director of VINCORION. “That’s why we’re excited that our growing engineering team will allow us to better serve the need for power solutions ‘designed and made in the USA’ in the future.”

The company’s new site is located in the immediate vicinity of Fort Bliss, which is home to the US Army’s largest military training area, among other facilities. The fort is also the German Air Force’s largest foreign base and houses the German Army’s Tactical Training Center for Air Defense Missiles USA, which is under the command of FlaRak Squadron 1 based in Husum, Germany.

Technology Supplier to the Aviation, Security and Defense, and Rail Sectors

The VINCORION brand was established in 2018 by consolidating the Jenoptik Group’s mechatronics expertise under one umbrella. With more than 775 employees, VINCORION develops and manufactures generators and hybrid power systems as well as lifting and stabilization solutions for civil and military platforms in the air, on land, and in the water at three German sites and at locations in the USA, South Korea, and Japan. VINCORION’s customers primarily include system vendors in the aerospace, security and defense, and rail markets.
