In 2019, VINCORION launched an intelligent composite solution – its new heated floor panel. It is both robust and corrosion-resistant, self-regulating thanks to PTC technology, and 35% lighter than its predecessor. Individual Lighting Systems for Complex Composite Structures
The growing demand for smart composite solutions in the field of civil aviation is not only reflected in new approaches to existing functionalities – entirely new applications are also conceivable and feasible. In 2019, VINCORION used a conductive coating to illuminate the window area of a segment of an A321 cabin within the scope of a design study. In this context, the applied coating can be used to directly and actively illuminate the components, allowing complex structures to glow in a variety of different colors – both on the exterior and interior of any aircraft.
